Ecumenical Prayer Service for the Witness of Servant of God Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky

AN IN-PERSON EVENT RECOMMENDED & SPONSORED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM

An Ecumenical Prayer Service will be held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the passing of Archbishop Andrey Sheptytsky. This event is part of the 2024 ‘Festival of Prayer’ series of monthly services that give testimony to the ‘Beauty of Holiness’ that is ours in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1: 15-16), marking the 60th anniversary of the Decree on Ecumenism that continues to invigorate our commitment to seek the unity willed by our Lord for the Church for the life of the world (John 17.21).

It is offered to us by the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies and the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Toronto.
